I Am My Bodyguard

OUR WORKSHOPS

Our age-appropriate life skills workshops are designed to empower children, youth and women through building awareness, self-esteem, assertive skills and physical self-defense techniques.

MAKE AN IMPACT

We want to give women, childen and young people a fighting chance by teaching them valuable, personal life skills that will allow them to be more aware of their environment. We also want to equip them with easy to learn tools for self-defense in the event of an attack.

The life skills workshops will show participants the importance of trusting their instincts and how to develop critical thinking skills to understand fear, cultivate assertiveness and not hesitate to protect themselves.

TRAIN THE TRAINER

During our Train the Trainer course, we teach and mentor local volunteers interested in becoming future trainers. These courses are open to male and female participants and cover everything from course design to interpersonal skills. Qualified trainers are then able to deliver our curricula to a larger number of students. Upon completion, participants will receive a recognized certificate and will be able to teach our programs.

Our Train the Trainer program is in line with our long-term strategic commitment to offer our program to as many women and children as possible by using local trainers. Through this approach, we will create employment, as well as reduce our cost of relocating trainers around the world.

SHARING OUR APPROACH

We work with other local community based or international NGO’s and government organizations to learn from them and share our approach. Whether you are a large or small organization organisation, let’s get together and collaborate towards creating societies free from all forms of violence against children and women.
